Somerset Attic and a Mold Attack
The mold shown in the Before Photo was found in an attic in a Somerset home. The cause was poor ventilation and insulation, which led to a moisture accumulation--enough for dormant mold spores to start colonizing. Our skilled AMRT applied microbial remediation technicians can use a technique called "ice-blasting" to remove the mold without the use of water. Why introduce more moisture? The results are apparent in the After Photo; clean and fresh looking roof sheathings and trusses. We can recommend to our customer that additional insulation, which we can install along with a vent, could help prevent this mold infestation from reoccurring. This not only protects the structure of the house, but also any stored contents in the attic, along with improving the indoor air quality of the lower levels.
